These terms apply to the ContractionTimer iOS app and its live-sharing web pages (the "App"). By using the App you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
The App is a simple contraction timer. It records the entries you make, displays them, and, if you choose, shares them through a link you control. Everything the App shows is based on the data you enter yourself.
The App is not a medical device and is not intended to be used as one. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. It cannot determine or predict whether labor has started. It does not replace your doctor, your midwife, a medical examination or professional supervision. Any notification or status the App shows is a summary of your own entries, not a medical assessment.
Decisions about your health and your pregnancy, including when to go to the hospital, must always be based on the instructions of your doctor or health professional. If something worries you, contact your doctor right away, no matter what the App shows.
Live sharing is optional and starts only with your action. The shared page shows your records without your name or identity details. Viewers cannot change your records. You can stop sharing at any time, after which the page can no longer be accessed. The App does not notify or alert the people you shared the link with. Do not rely on anyone watching the page.
The App is provided "as is" and free of charge. We work to keep it reliable, but we cannot promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that notifications will always be delivered on time, or that the shared page will always be reachable. Delivery of notifications also depends on your device settings and Apple's systems, which are outside our control.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the App. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
The App, its design, texts and graphics belong to the operator named below. You may not copy, modify or redistribute them without permission.
How your data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy. Your contraction records stay on your device unless you start live sharing.
We may update these terms or change, suspend or discontinue the App or the live-sharing service. If these terms change materially, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date above.
